Labradoodle Puppies for Crystal Lake, IL Families

Crystal Lake anchors the northwest suburbs, and families here are often weighing a handful of breeders scattered across the region. Our farm in Kirkland is a manageable drive southwest, and we would rather have you visit in person than take our word for anything, meet the parent dogs, see the space, and ask whatever you need to before deciding.

What Crystal Lake Families Notice First

Most families tell us the same thing after their first visit, that our puppies act like they have already spent time around people, because they have. Every litter is raised in our home alongside our own kids, grandkids, and other pets, so the socialization is not something added later, it is built in from the start.

For McHenry County families choosing between a handful of options, that difference tends to be the deciding factor.

How the Process Works

A $500 deposit, fully refundable, holds your place on the waitlist and puppies are selected in the order deposits are received, so earlier reservations get first pick within a litter. The total cost is $2,500, with the remaining balance due at pickup or anytime before, and we accept cash, checks, credit cards, PayPal, Venmo, and Zelle. Free financing is also available if that helps with timing.

Frequently Asked Questions

How far is Kirkland from Crystal Lake, IL?

It is roughly a 45-minute drive, mostly via Route 47 heading south toward DeKalb County. Traffic through the McHenry County corridor can add a few minutes during peak commute times, but it is a straightforward, mostly rural drive without much congestion.

What happens on pickup day?

Around 8 weeks of age, you will bring your puppy home with a binder covering your Labradoodle's parents and health record, sample puppy food to ease the transition, two stainless steel bowls, a few toys, a collar and leash, and a blanket carrying the scent of the litter and parents to help with the adjustment. We also ask that you bring a pet carrier for a safe ride home.

Is there a deposit, and is it refundable?

Yes, a $500 deposit is required to reserve a spot, and it is fully refundable if your plans change. Deposits are applied toward the total puppy cost of $2,500, with the balance due at or before pickup, and puppies are chosen in the order deposits come in.

Do you offer any insurance or ongoing support after pickup?

We partner with Trupanion to provide new families 30 days of coverage at no upfront cost through our Go Home Offer, activated by phone or directly on Trupanion's site. Beyond that, we stay available for questions long after pickup day, and if life circumstances ever change, we will take back any puppy or adult dog we placed rather than see them end up in a shelter.

Can Crystal Lake families visit more than once before deciding?

Absolutely, and we would rather you did. Many families visit once to meet the parent dogs and get a feel for the farm, then come back a second time once a specific litter is available, before making any final decision.
